Fibromyalgia has been my constant companion for over 20 years, joined more recently by chronic fatigue syndrome, tachycardia, and POTS.
Through it all, I’ve become somewhat of an expert in navigating life—and travel—with constant pain and intense fatigue.
As a passionate traveler, my goal is to make planning and enjoying your vacation with a disability as smooth as possible.
Here you will find my favorite products and resources that help me manage my disabilities at home and when traveling.
These are tools I rely on, and I only recommend products, companies, or services I truly believe in.

Muscle Pain Relief
Arnica Massage Oil – Arnica is an amazing natural herb that reduces inflammation and relieves muscle aches. It is my go-to for massage oil.
Wood Massage Tools – I always bring one wooden massage tool with me when I travel. They are easy to pack and help massage my sore muscles.
Foam Roller – This is too long to travel, but a lifesaver for home. I bought the extra-long roller to massage my muscles and help stretch my spine.
Heating Pad – I use a heating pad every single day. This king-size one fits my entire back, is very soft, and has 6 heat settings.
Cordless Heating Pad – Looking for a travel-sized heating pad… this cordless, electric heating pad has 3 heating & massage settings!
Heart Rate Monitor
Fitbit Inspire – This Fitbit helps me monitor my heart rate, steps, and sleep so I can better manage my tachycardia and POTS symptoms.
Compression Leggings & Socks
After being diagnosed with POTS, my doctor recommended compression leggings to improve my circulation. These are my favorites!
Fanka Compression Leggings – These are amazing! These full-length leggings have built in support, high compression, and a cute design.
Under Armour HeatGear Leggings – Perfect for winter conditions, these leggings have pockets, are stylish, and have a no-slip waistband. I like these for air travel too.
Capri Compression Tights – My absolute favorite summer leggings! You don’t get full compression because they are capri… but they keep you cool and are super cute too.
Supportive Shoes
ASICS Running Shoes – A little pricey but seriously comfortable and supportive. They’re breathable, and feature gel cushioning for shock absorption.
Walking Sandals – These sandals are comfortable and lightweight with a cushioned design, adjustable straps, and a flexible sole.
Comfort Essentials
Travel Pillow – This Tempur-Pedic pillow is amazing! It’s contoured for head & neck support, compact, comfortable, and has a washable cover.
Travel Blanket – I always travel with my own blanket. This everSnug blanket is soft, lightweight, and compact, with a carrying pouch.
Motion Sickness Relief – These wristbands use acupressure to ease motion sickness and nausea. I have been using them for 20 years!
Weighted Blanket – Not for travel, but I bought this to help calm my anxiety when my heart rate spiked. It is very soft and evenly distributes weight across my body.
Noise Cancelling Headphones – Sensitive to noise like me? These Bluetooth headphones use comfortable memory foam, deliver clear audio, and help to drown out ambient sound.
Ear Plugs – This body of mine demands a good sleep! I like these earplugs because they block out any noises that disturb my sleep.
Eye Mask – Sensitive to light at night? Most hotels don’t come with blackout blinds, so I always travel prepared. Again… I need my sleep.
