Kenya Accessible Safari Testimonial: Bob & Eileen
In May 2026, Bob and Eileen joined our Wheelchair Accessible Kenya Safari, a small group adventure designed for travelers with limited mobility, wheelchair users, and those who prefer a slower pace of travel.
During their journey, they explored the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli National Park, experienced incredible wildlife encounters, and traveled in accessible safari vehicles specially adapted for mobility needs.
After returning home, Bob generously shared his thoughts about the experience. We are grateful for his kind words and hope his story helps other travelers feel confident about exploring the world, regardless of mobility challenges.

“In mid‑May 2026, we went on a wonderful Accessible Safari with the partnership of Two Empty Passports and Lorna’s Safari, and the experience exceeded every expectation. Robyn from Two Empty Passports provided continuous updates and suggestions, packing lists, instructions on how to submit for our Visas, leading up to our Safari. Robyn hosted zoom calls for us to meet our fellow travelers and ask question we had going into the safari. That put a lot of our concerns to rest.
Accessibility was clearly a priority from start to finish. Every accommodation and every vehicle was thoughtfully prepared. Lorna Safaris has worked closely with the safari camps they use to ensure accessible rooms, attentive staff, and smooth logistics. They even know where all the accessible restrooms are along the routes! Their modified safari van with a lift seat, additional vans with ramps, and the custom wooden boxes they’ve built for easier entry made getting in and out of the vehicles simple and stress‑free. You must be able to transfer to a safari van seat.
Our guides were exceptional. Their knowledge of wildlife and local culture added so much depth to each game drive. Across our three destinations—Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli—we saw an incredible variety of animals. We witnessed lions feeding on multiple kills, watched lions climbing trees, and even saw a mating pair of lions. The sheer number of elephants in Amboseli was unforgettable, and the rhinos and giraffes at Lake Nakuru were a highlight.
Our balloon ride over Masai Mara was awesome, something I didn’t think was possible with my limited mobility. The Balloon ride does require you to stand for the hour flight, but you can lean against the basket.
We highly recommend this tour for anyone with limited mobility. The attention to detail and genuine care made this one of the most enjoyable trips we’ve ever taken. My wife even said it was her favorite vacation of all time. You won’t regret taking this trip—this safari truly exceeded all our expectations.”

In April 2026, Judy, Bill, and Kathy joined our Accessible Banff Getaway, a small group tour designed for travelers with limited mobility, wheelchair users, and those who enjoy exploring at a slower pace.
During their time in Banff, they experienced some of the Canadian Rockies’ most iconic attractions, including the Banff Gondola, visits to the historic Fairmont hotels, accessible dining experiences, and wildlife viewing opportunities.
Our small group size allowed for flexibility while ensuring accessible transportation and accommodations throughout the trip.
All three travelers had previously joined us on our Accessible Switzerland Tour, and we were delighted to welcome them back for another adventure. After returning home, they generously shared their experiences to help future travelers learn more about our accessible small group tours.

“I had a wonderful tour of the Banff area with Two Empty Passports. Robyn and Gavin had checked out all of the local sights for accessibility, and while we were a small group (5 of us) we were able to visit both the Fairmont Hotels, go for optional early morning drives to look for wildlife, and even go up the Banff Gondola. We ate at some great accessible restaurants too.
The hotel room was fully accessible, and we had two vehicles, one which could accommodate our 2 wheelchairs, available for use.
Banff can be expensive and crowded in the summer, but being there in the shoulder season meant lower lodging prices and still seeing a lot of snow on the beautiful mountains all around us.
This was my second Two Empty Passports trip (the first was in Switzerland) and I already have booked two more.”

Both Robyn and Gavin made everything enjoyable, even when they weren’t feeling their best.
They made all the right choices when it came to the hotel, restaurants, activities, sights, and scenery. We were especially lucky that they were able to move the Banff Gondola visit to a picture-perfect day.
The walking tour was nice, although the guide could have used a few pointers on leading a group with mobility challenges. The Fairmont was lovely, and high tea was so much fun.
The early morning wildlife drives were peaceful and memorable. I’m so glad I made the effort to get up and go. Bill joined a couple of the drives but decided to sleep in on the third one.
We also appreciated the downtime built into the itinerary. The slower pace isn’t for everyone, but I found our trip to Banff relaxing and refreshing.
We loved being so close to the mountains, with beautiful scenery everywhere we turned. I know we wouldn’t have seen or experienced half the things we did without Robyn’s research and careful planning.
